Nobel prize-winning psychologist and economist Daniel Kahneman is famous for challenging the assumption of human rationality that prevailed in modern economic theory. He is Professor Emeritus of Pscyhology and Public Affairs at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School, Eugene Higgins Professor of Psychology Emeritus at Princeton University, and a fellow of the Center for Rationality at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

In 2013, Daniel was awarded with the with a Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama. His work Thinking, Fast and Slow is one of the most famous recent works of non-fiction and was the winner of the 2012 National Academies Communication Award.
