Shazia Mirza is a multi-award winning stand-up comedian, actress, and writer. She is best known for her The Kardashians Made Me Do It.
Shazia began performing stand up comedy whilst pursuing a career as a teacher and quickly garnered attention for her provocative style. In 2007, she presented F*** Off, I'm a Hairy Woman on BBC Three, a documentary about body image and contrasting stereotypes surrounding women's body hair. She has subsequently performed at some of the biggest festivals in the world including Glastonbury and The Edinburgh Festival. Shazia has made guest appearances on several shows, including The Jonathan Ross Show, Loose Women and The Late Late Show. She also recently appeared on Celebrity Bear Gryll’s Island.
As well as stand-up and television, Shazia frequently writes for publications including The Guardian, FT Magazine, The Daily Telegraph and The New Statesman in which she has a fortnightly column.
