Lyndsey Stonebridge is a writer, critic and Professor of Humanities and Human Rights at the University of Birmingham. Her writing explores themes of justice, exile, and the political and moral life of the mind.

Stonebridge's books have won numerous awards, including the British Academy's Rose Mary Crawshay Prize and the Modernist Studies Association Prize. Her most recent work is We Are Free to Change the World: Hannah Arendt’s Lessons in Love and Disobedience, a bold new take on Hannah Arendt's life and work.
