Joseph Stiglitz is a Nobel-prize winning economist. His many globally influential positions have included Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank and Chairman of President Bill Clinton's Council of Economic Advisers.

Currently a Professor at Columbia, Joseph has been named by Time magazine as one of the "100 most influential people" and has been named one of Foreign Policy's "100 leading intellectuals" on three separate occasions. Joseph's recent work focuses on income distribution, risk and globalization. He has authored numerous books, the most recent of which, People, Power, and Profits, warns of the dangers of free market fundamentalism and argues that a reformed capitalism could bring prosperity to all.
