"We should not aim merely to believe the truth; we should aim to know it." Anandi Hattiangadi

Anandi Hattiangadi is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Stockholm, with interests in the philosophy of mind and language, epistemology, and meta-ethics. She is a core part of the interdisciplinary program Knowledge Resistance: Causes, Consequences, and Cures.

Her book Oughts and Thoughts: Rule-following and the Normativity of Content makes the innovative argument that, contra Kripke, meaning cannot be normative, and so there must be facts about what we mean by our words.

"Hattiangadi has done a magnificent job of covering so much philosophical territory with great insight and care for details" Reinaldo Elugardo, Notre Dame Philosophical Reviews
