"There is no respect for the police anymore, they may as well not be there."

Annunziata Rees-Mogg is a journalist and former politician. As a journalist she has been a leader writer for The Daily Telegraph, deputy editor of MoneyWeek, and editor of the European Journal. An ardent eurosceptic, she was elected as a Brexit Party MEP for the East Midlands in 2019, but later rejoined the Conservative Party, which she had first joined at the age of five.

Today, Annunziata serves as Head of Communications for the think‑tank Popular Conservatism (or PopCon) which is ideologically on the right wing of the Conservative Party. She continues to write and comment on European politics, finance, and culture as a freelance journalist, recently appearing on GB News, Talk TV and on the Jeremy Vine show where she defended Israel's actions in Gaza.

“She’s younger than I am but I am very influenced by her, therefore it’s odd that we should be in different parties, to some extent uncomfortable for us both' — Jacob Rees-Mogg when Annunziata joined the Brexit Party
