"Preaching dogma in the name of science is a dagger at the heart of society."

Àlex Gómez-Marín is a physicist, neuroscientist, and critic of transhumanism, which he describes as “false religion” dressed in techno-scientific rhetoric. Trained in theoretical physics (PhD) and systems neuroscience, he is a professor at the Institute of Neurosciences in Alicante, Spain, and director of the Pari Center in Tuscany, Italy, where he explores the nature of consciousness, the edges of human experience, and the limitations of mainstream science.

Formerly a research fellow at the EMBL Center for Genomic Regulation and at the Champalimaud Center for the Unknown in Lisbon, Gómez-Marín has gained international attention for his interdisciplinary approach to mind and meaning. His work seeks an alternative to the “unholy trinity” of mechanistic-materialist-reductionist neuroscience by integrating insights from philosophy of science, phenomenology, and wisdom traditions.
