Our Student Ambassador Programme is your chance to be at the heart of HowTheLightGetsIn – a unique celebration of ideas, culture, and conversation. As an Ambassador, you’ll play a vital role in spreading the word across your university and student networks, while gaining real-world experience in marketing and events promotion.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Stand out with hands-on experience in marketing, community outreach, and live event promotion. You'll receive a certificate of involvement, the opportunity to request a reference or letter of recommendation, and the chance to enhance your CV with meaningful, hands-on experience. We’ll support you throughout the 12-week programme with regular check-ins and resources to help you thrive.

What does the role involve?
As a Student Ambassador, your core mission is to bring the spirit of the festival to your campus. You’ll help raise awareness, drive ticket sales, and be a creative voice for the festival community.
We’ll provide everything you need, from posters to tracked ticket links, and you’ll be expected to:
- Share 6–8 social media posts about the festival
- Distribute flyers and posters on campus
- Promote your personalised ticket link and student discount code
- Attend short, bi-monthly online check-ins with the festival team
You have the freedom to shape this role around your strengths. We’re always eager to hear your fresh, original ideas to help bring the festival to new audiences.
