Ece Temelkuran is an award-winning Turkish journalist and author. A graduate of Ankara University's Faculty of Law, she was fired from her job as a TV presenter in 2011 for criticizing the Turkish government over the Uludere massacre. She has published 12 books, both fiction and non-fiction, exploring hunger strikes, childhood imaginations and right-wing populism.
