Sir Simon Jenkins is a British Author, newspaper columnist and editor. He was an editor of the Evening Standard from 1976 to 1978 and of the Times from 1990 to 1992. He has also written extensively on British History, Politics and architecture.

In his columns, he has commented on all aspects of British politics and public life, particularly international relations. He has argued in favour of NATO funding, the ineffability of sanctions and that British Overseas Territories are expensive holdovers from our imperial past.
