Faiza Shaheen is a UK politician, former professor of economics, think-tank director, and expert in Inequality. In 2018 she was selected to be the prospective candidate for Chingford and Woodford Green, but was ultimately not endorsed by the Labour party in a highly controversial deselection.

She has an extensive career as an economist. She is currently a visiting professor of inequality at the LSE, but she has previously been a director at NYU and the Centre for Labour and Social Studies. Prior to this she was head of inequality at Save the Children and senior researcher at The New Economics Foundation.
