Bridget Christie is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer.
In 2013 Bridget won the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show with her show A BIC FOR HER. The show also won the 2014 South Bank Sky Arts Award for Best Comedy, the 2014 Chortle Award for Best Show and a 2014 Hospital 100 Club Award for Performance and Theatre and broke box office records at Soho Theatre.
Her 2014 tour, a double bill of A Bic for Her and an Ungrateful Woman, won the 2015 Chortle Award for Best Tour and in 2014 she was nominated for a British Comedy Award for Best Female TV comic for her performance on Have I Got News For You.
Her hugely critically acclaimed 2016 show Because You Demanded It (about Britain’s decision to leave the European Union), was The Guardian’s No 1 Comedy of 2016, won the Chortle Award for Best show 2017 and completely sold out its Edinburgh and West End runs. Also in 2016 Bridget’s debut live stand-up special, Stand Up for Her, produced by Baby Cow and the BBC, was streamed on Netflix across the globe, making her the first British female comedian with a stand up special on the streaming service.
Her debut book, A BOOK FOR HER was published by Century Random House in hardback in July 2015 to universal critical acclaim.
Bridget is currently filming her own star-studded comedy drama series The Change for Channel 4.
