Tim Jackson is an ecological economist and writer. Since 2016 he has been Director of the Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity (CUSP). Jackson has been at the forefront of international debates on sustainability for three decades and has worked closely with the UK Government, the UN, the European Commission, and numerous NGOs. In 2016, Jackson was named a Hillary Laureate for exceptional international leadership in sustainability.

His controversial and groundbreaking book Prosperity without Growth was named a Financial Times book of the year and an UnHerd’s economics book of the decade in 2019. His most recent book The Care Economy offers a bold and accessible manifesto for a healthier and more humane society.
