Roger Hearing is a veteran journalist and broadcaster. Over a 35-year career with the BBC and Bloomberg, he has covered wars, elections, coups and revolutions across the globe - including the UN intervention in Somalia and the Rwandan genocide.

From 1999 to 2010, he presented The World Today and News Hour for the BBC World Service, along with the World Tonight on BBC Radio 4. He now co-hosts The Why? Curve podcast with Phil Dobbie.
