"Collective action remains the best way of renewing the march towards the great trinity of liberty, equality, and solidarity."

Guy Standing is a Professorial Research Associate at SOAS University of London and co-founder of the Basic Income Earth Network. He is best known as a long-standing and prominent advocate of Universal Basic Income, but he is also responsible for redefining and revitalizing the term ‘precariat’ which describes a new emerging social class suffering from job insecurity as well as identity insecurity.

Standing's recent work has explored the politics of time and how to reclaim leisure in an age of uncertainty.

"Standing’s daring emancipatory agenda challenges our prevailing “jobs fetish” as anything but progressive" — Irish Times
