Samira Shackle is a British freelance journalist, writer and editor. She specialises in politics, terrorism, inequality and gender. Additionally, she has reported on Pakistan since 2011 and has also worked in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Kenya and Nigeria.

Shackle is the editor of the New Humanist magazine and regularly contributes to the Guardian, Al Jazeera, Prospect and Deutsche Welle as well as the Times, the Independant and Vice. Her work has been nominated by numerous for numerous awards and in 2016 she was awarded the ichard Beeson bursary.
