Ruth Padel is an award-winning British poet, novelist and non-fiction writer. Her work spans across a multitude of topics and mediums, from poetic collections on Beethoven to poignant non-fiction pieces on tiger conservation, and the influence of Greek myth on rock music. Her twelve poetry collections have all been shortlisted for major UK prizes.
Padel is a Visiting Professor of Poetry at King's College London, where she teaches on poetry, fiction, Charles Darwin and the connection between arts and science.
