"We’re living in a culture governed by a permanent compulsion towards frenetic activity or fevered distraction."
Josh Cohen established himself as an academic in American literature and critical theory, before deciding to train as a psychoanalyst. His books combine these influences, exploring major contemporary issues like privacy, work, meritocracy and anger through the lenses of psychoanalysis, culture and personal experience.
He is the author of several books, including How to Read Freud, Not Working: Why We Have to Stop, and All the Rage: Why Anger Drives the World. He has also written pieces for The Guardian, The New Statesman, and Times Literary Supplement, among other publications.
"Cohen tells stories empathically and forensically." ― TLS
