"We don't have a single interpretation of quantum mechanics that doesn't have serious problems."

Jacob Barandes is a theoretical physicist and philosopher of science at Harvard University. Barandes researches and lectures on topics at the intersection between physics and philosophy, including the foundations of quantum mechanics, the philosophy of (space)time, the metaphysics of laws, and the logical structure of our best physical theories.

Barandes is also a Faculty Affiliate with the Harvard Black Hole Initiative and organises an international workshop series on physics and philosophy. Barandes has published many academic papers on his research and frequently participates in academic talks and popular science podcasts. Barandes' most recent research focuses on developing a stochastic interpretation of quantum mechanics.

"Harvard's Jacob Barandes is an expert at making abstruse topics digestible." — Curt Jaimungal, Theories of Everything Podcast
