Chiara Marletto is a theoretical physicist at the University of Oxford and a pioneer of constructor theory, a radical attempt to reformulate the foundations of physics in terms of what's possible and impossible. Working closely with David Deutsch, she challenges the idea that existing physical theories are complete, arguing that phenomena such as information, life, and thermodynamics remain only partially understood.
In the book The Science of Can and Can’t, she brought constructor theory to a wide audience and positioned it as a serious contender for unifying physics, information theory, and biology.
