The Life and Philosophy of Jeremy Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn, Sophie Scott-Brown

Few figures on the Left have shaped the political landscape as former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. Born in Wiltshire to politically engaged parents, Corbyn's childhood was steeped in radical thought. Throughout his political career, Corbyn has remained committed to socialism and pacifism. He unexpectedly found himself voted leader of the party by a huge majority and increased Labour's vote share in the 2017 election, before stepping down after Labour's loss in 2019. Since 2024, he has held his Islington North seat as an Independent, after being barred from standing as a Labour candidate. Join him to explore the experiences that shaped, tested, or reaffirmed his philosophy, and which led to him becoming one of the most polarising and influential political figures of our time.
