Rana Dasgupta is a novelist and essayist. A visiting fellow in the humanities at Princeton and lecturer at Brown University, he has built a reputation as one of the sharpest critical voices on globalisation, migration, and the modern city.
In 2010, The Daily Telegraph named him one of Britain's best novelists under 40; in 2014 Le Monde listed him among 70 people shaping the world tomorrow. Dasgupta was also awarded the prestigious Windham-Campbell Prize for Nonfiction in 2025. His most recent book, After Nations: The Making and Unmaking of a World Order, continues his rigorous reputation with a historical and philosophical reckoning.
