Kwasi Kwarteng is a former Conservative politician, historian, and author who served as Chancellor of the Exchequer under Liz Truss in 2022. He holds a PhD in economic history and worked as a journalist and financial analyst before going into politics.
A prolific author, his books include Ghosts of Empire: Britain's Legacies in the Modern World and Britannia Unchained, alongside works on debt, Thatcherism, and the history of capitalism.
