"If you don't read Aristotle in Greek, you cannot understand his argument."

Babette Babich is a world-leading expert on Nietzsche and a fearless defender of continental philosophy. Professor of philosophy at Fordham University and editor of the journal New Nietzsche Studies, Babich has spent decades dismantling common assumptions about science, art, and the nature of knowledge itself.

Educated in both the analytic and continental traditions, Babich has written extensively on figures like Adorno, Gadamer, and Foucault, challenging the boundaries between art, science, and philosophy. Her latest book, titled Ivan Illich's Philosophical Constellations, examines the thought of the Austrian cultural critic and polymath — specifically, his radical critique of modern institutions.

"[Babich] succeeds in penetrating the cloud of suspicion, incomprehension, and distrust that for contemporary readers surrounds Nietzsche's writing." — New Nietzsche Studies
