Andy West is the author of The Life Inside: A Memoir of Prison, Family and Learning to be Free and the Executive Producer of the acclaimed BBC adaptation of that book Waiting for the Out. The book and TV show feature the conversations he has with people in prison about their lives, discussing their ideas and working to disciover new ways to think about their situation. The Life Inside was an Irish Times and The i Book of the Year
