"I'm not a Blairite. I'm not a Brownite. And I'm not a Corbynista. I am my own women!"
Dame Angela Eagle is a veteran Labour MP, former minister and Labour leadership challenger. She had held a variety of government posts such as the Minister for Pensions and Ageing Society, and Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Business and State.
As a member of the 21 MPs who resigned from Jeremy Corbyn's cabinet in 2016, Angela has been an active voice within the Labour party, precipitating change and fighting for justice. As the second openly lesbian MP, Angela has defended LGBTQ+ rights and pushed for greater representation throughout all of politics.
