JohnJoe McFadden is is an Anglo-Irish scientist, professor and writer at the University of Surrey. His current research focusses on Molecular Genetics, however, he has written many popular science books including Life on the Edge: The Coming of Age of Quantum Biology and Quantam Evolution. In addtion, he has co-edited Human Nature: Fact and Fiction which received contributions from Ian McEwan, Philip Pullman, Steven Pinker, A.C Grayling and many others.
Currenlty, McFadden regularly writes for the Guardian newspaper on themes such as quantam mechanics, evolution and genetically modified crops. He has featured in several interviews and lectures that are available to watch online.
