"The question ‘what is the meaning of life?’ within contemporary secular culture is a comic one.”

James Tartaglia is a British philosopher, who is author of books like Philosophy in a Meaningless Life and Philosophy in a Technological World: GODS AND TITANS. His main interest is in understanding and enhancing awareness of the nature of philosophical inquiry, which for him centres on the question of the meaning of life. He seeks to reconnect philosophy with issues of natural human interest; and to re-position philosophy within a contemporary culture dominated by scientific understanding.

In addition, James also leads the band Continuum of Selves, which combines jazz music with philosophical ideas in a Jazz-Philosophy fusion.

“Tartaglia… challenges materialism in original and inventive ways." - Tim Crane
