Matthew Beaumont is a Professor of English Literture at University College London and an acclaimed author. He is also a Co-Director of UCL's Urban Lab and runs the Cities Imaginaires strand, a series of events that curate cultural representations of cities and urban life.
Matthew Beaumont is most well known for his book Nightwalking: A Nocturnal History of London and for having co-authored The Task of the Critic: Terry Eagleton in Dialogue. His next work will focus on Frantz Fanon, the politics of walking and the body.
