Kate Sullivan de Estrada is the Director of the Contemporary South Asian Studies Programme and Associate Professor in the International Relations of South Asia. Her research interests centre on the social mobility of states in world politics and status-seeking behaviour.
Sullivan de Estrada previously took up a secondment as Principle Research Analyst for India at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. She delivered expert testimony to UK parliamentary inquiries. She also writes for The Wire, The Hindu, and the Oxford Academic.
