Bhavna Davé is a senior lecturer based at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She studies the geopolitics and political economy of the Eurasian region, with a particular focus on ethnic relations and identity politics in Central Asia.

Davé is an internationally renowned expert in the politics of Central Asia. She has held visiting positions at universities in China, Japan, Singapore, and the United States, as well as led masterclasses at universities across Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. She is also the author of the book Kazakhstan: Ethnicity, Language and Power.
