The IAI Sixth Form takes place at HowTheLightGetsIn festival, and is aimed at pre-university students who have an interest in critical thinking and want to broaden their understanding of philosophy, science, politics and the arts beyond school curricula.
We organise events for 16-18 year olds, curating programmes with world-leading thinkers, as well as in-person events at our HowTheLightGetsIn festival. Our IAI Sixth Form events generally consist of two days of talks, seminars, and interactive workshops delivered by an unrivalled line-up of speakers, from free-thinking writers and top-philosophers to up-and-coming politicians and Nobel Prize-winning scientists.
The programme covers core aspects of philosophical study, politics and contemporary science, helping students to grow their skills of critical engagement, discussion, and interdisciplinary thinking. Our events provide a true university ‘taster’ experience, or a strong foundation for creative problem solving in the workplace.

HowTheLightGetsIn Children's Programme
Our Children’s Programme invites young thinkers to explore the biggest ideas through stories, games, and hands-on creativity. With interactive sessions led by inspiring scientists, philosophers, and artists, children can journey into outer space, ask curious “what if?” questions, get creative, and discover just how fun thinking can be, all as part of the wider festival experience.
