"That is what it means to be on the cutting edge of our post-truth world: games are serious."

Steve Fuller is an American academic specialising in the field of science and technology studies. His 1988 work, Social Epistemology, was the first publication devoted to the field of that name, which seeks to understand the social production and sanctioning of knowledge and which underpins much of Fuller's later work.
Since moving to the UK in the nineties, Fuller has published prolifically on such topics as intelligent design, the sociology of academia, and transhumanism. His latest work, entitled Post-Truth: Knowledge as A Power Game, traces the need, in the information-rich age of the Internet when interpretations outstrip facts, to reconsider the basis of public policy.
