Rowan Pelling is a journalist, broadcaster, and former editor of the popular Erotic Review, a monthly publication featuring sexual and erotic literature "to appeal to the primary sexual organ - the brain".
After graduating from St Hugh's College, Oxford, with a degree in English Literature, Pelling worked at Private Eye and then GQ. It was in 1997 that she rebranded the Erotic Print Society's modest newsletter into a full-size magazine, the Erotic Review, whose circulation eventually reached 30,000.
Most recently, Pelling launched The Amorist in 2017. The romantic younger sibling of the Erotic Review, its mission statement is "to counter the modern tendency to see sex through a purely functional prism".
