"The clichés surrounding globalization are tediously predictable."
Sir Vince Cable is a British politician who served as Leader of the Liberal Democrats from 2017-2019. Cable is known for his interventionist approach to policy issues and, on the matter of Brexit, his support for a second referendum. Politically active since the 1970s, Cable’s allegiances lay with Labour until the eighties. From that decade onwards, Cable wrote prolifically in favour of globalisation and free trade, preferences which he still holds today as demonstrated by his fervent support of the Transatlantic Trade Investment Partnership.
Outside of the political sphere, Cable is a keen dancer, having performed a respectable foxtrot on Strictly Come Dancing in the 2010 Christmas special.
