Michael Morpurgo is one of the most beloved British authors of our time. After graduating from Sandhurst military school, Michael went into teaching. It was as a primary school teacher that he discovered his brilliant talent for story-telling. He has now written over a hundred books, which include classics such as War Horse and Private Peaceful. Michael lives in Devon, and has three children, eight grand-children, and one great-grandchild on the way.
