Three great reasons to get involved:

1. ACCESS. In return for their short daily shifts (typically between 5-6 hours), Festival Stewards get a festival wristband giving them access to a whole range of debates, live music, film & comedy.

2. FREEBIES & DISCOUNTS. All Stewards get a free pitch on the festival camp site with hot showers and toilets. There's also insane discounts on the festival eateries.

3. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. Stewarding looks great on your CV and all Stewards can request a reference form the Steward Manager for future applications. You'll get to network with festival organisers and gain an insight into the behind-the-scenes running of a large-scale event.

4. FUN. The team is always diverse, welcoming and up for having a lot of laughs, as well as working well together to keep the festival ticking. A lot of our Festival Stewards come back year after year to have reunions and see the same friendly faces they got to know their first year stewarding.

How to Get Involved

If you have a good work ethic, a keen interest in our varied programme and a good sense of humour then we'd like to hear from you. You must be able to commit to the full festival, running between Thursday 24th - Monday 28th May 2018 AND be available to arrive in Hay by no later than 11am on Wednesday 23rd for training.

Every Festival Steward pays a deposit of £50 to secure their place which is refundable after the successful completion of all shifts. During the festival, you'll get a free camping place, access to festival events & insane discounts from the on site eateries. Not only this, but you'll gain experience in festival stewarding at the world's biggest philosophy and music festival!
