Yasmin Alibhai-Brown is a respected pundit who writes regularly for the I, International Business Times, and New European. Describing herself as a "leftie liberal, anti-racist, feminist, Muslim", she is known for her interventions in UK immigration and multiculturalism policy.


Born in Kampala, Uganda into a Shia Muslim family, Yasmin moved to the UK to complete her studies at Oxford. She worked as a teacher before moving into journalism in the 1980s, and has since published a slew of acclaimed books about her unique experience as an insider/outsider in British culture. Her most recent book Ladies Who Punch tells the story of courageous women who have changed history and remoulded our culture.
