“Science and fun cannot be separated.” - Roger Penrose

Roger Penrose is a physicist, mathematician, and philosopher of science. The Penrose Institute was set up in his name to investigate the brain, creativity, and the interaction between quantum mechanics and general relativity. For many years Penrose worked with Stephen Hawking on general relativity, spacetime and black holes. Together they pioneered several longstanding theorems, such as that an expanding universe like our own must have begun with a singularity.

"Although I’m regarded as a radical…I’m definitely a conservative compared to Roger” - Stephen Hawking
