“There are just too many people rehashing the politics of the 1980s. What I want to do is something truly transformative.” ~ Phillip Blond
Phillip Blond is a political philosopher, Anglican theologian and director of the ResPublica thinktank. Translating as ‘common wealth’, their core values are society, prosperity and virtue. He is the author of Red Tory: How Left and Right Have Broken Britain and How We Can Fix It, an argument for a radical new way to fix a broken country.
Fittingly for the festival, Phillip has been known as David Cameron’s very own philosopher-king, considered the resident critical thinker for the Conservative Party.
“Intellectual equivalent of a firework display.” ~ The Guardian
