"The hero politician is dead, long live the servant politician." - Penny Mordaunt
As a Conservative MP Penny Mordaunt has held some of the most prominent positions in Cabinet, including Defence Secretary and Minister for Women and Equalities. Penny was the first member of her family to go to university, after which she quickly became the Head of Youth for the Conservative Party under John Major.
Following the election of Boris Johnson as Conservative Leader, Penny chose to retire to the backbenches where she continues to serve as MP for Portsmouth North. On top of her parliamentary duties, Penny is a proud member of the Royal Naval Reserve.
"Had she run for the leadership, Penny Mordaunt could well have been our next prime minister." - Iain Dale, The Times
