"We are now living in extraordinary political times. I can't remember anything like this." ~ Nicky Morgan
Nicky Morgan is a Conservative MP and current Chair of the Treasury Select Committee.
Having been a member of the Conservatives since her teenage years, Morgan made her parliamentary debut in 2010 when she was elected for Loughborough. Her career since then has seen her serve as Minister for Women and Equalities and Secretary of State for Education, amongst other prominent positions. In the latter role, she pushed for the introduction of free schools and expansion of academies.
Morgan was a staunch Remainer in the leadup to 2016's referendum. She has opined that the Conservatives must send out an optimistic message and not just "the language of hate".
