Nesrine Malik is a British-Sudanese journalist and social commentator. She is a regular writer for The Guardian and has penned articles for publications including Foreign Policy, New Statesman and The Independent.
After attending American University in Cairo, the University of Khartoum, and the University of London, Nesrine spent ten years in emerging markets private equity alongside her writing work.
Her journalism focuses on Islamophobia and other social evils. In 2019, she was nominated for the Orwell Prize for her efforts in "exposing the hostile environment"in which we find ourselves.
