Lawrence Freedman is currently a visiting professor at Oxford’s Blavatnik School is Government. Known for his long tenure as head of the War Studies programme at King’s College, London from 1982 to 2014, Freedman is a world expert on military strategy and has written extensively on nuclear strategy and the Cold War. His books include Strategy: A History, and the official history of the Falklands campaign.
