Ben Allanach is a professor in the department of applied mathematics and theoretical physics at Cambridge University. He is a member of the University's Supersymmetry Working Group.

Allanach's current research focuses on interpreting data derived from CERN experiments with an emphasis on new particles and forces. His work hunts down glitches in the Standard Model as part of an overall drive towards a "new physics" beyond that Model - indeed, Allanach is critical of the theoretical approach to particle physics.
