Dr Bernadka Dubicka is Chair of the Child and Adolescent Faculty at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Her research is often focussed on mood disorders, with her expertise lying in clinical trials and evidence-based practice.
Bernadka is a member of the National Institute of Health Research, and is an editor of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Journal. Most recently she has been in the news to speak out about the effect that social media is having on the mental wellbeing of children and young adults. During a recent news cycle on the dangers of social media, Bernadka implored social media firms to hand over their data amid an increased suicide risk. Bernadka joins us at the festival to debate on whether we are medically addicted to our smart technology.
