Indira Jaising is a human rights lawyer who is well-known for her legal activism. She has fought in and won a number of high-profile cases in India and from the beginning of her legal career, she has focused on the protection of human rights and the rights of women. In 2009, Indira became the first woman to be appointed Additional Solicitor General of India and in 2018, she was ranked 20th in the list of 50 Greatest Leaders of the World by Fortune magazine.
