HowTheLightGetsIn London 2021 is taking place in September 2021.

We're closely monitoring government guidance and protocols regarding events. As these measures and others such as vaccine passports haven't been confirmed, we haven't published detailed plans yet. But we will follow all guidelines and update our website info accordingly as soon as they become clear.

We are confident that our hard work in conforming to the protocols, plus the fact that all UK adults are due to have been offered the vaccine before the festival takes place, PLUS the news of large scale test events rolling out across the early summer, will mean that we can go ahead as close to as normal as possible.

What's your Covid Guarantee?

After the generosity of our fans during our #HelpHowTheLightGetsIn fundraiser last year, and the success of our Virtual Festivals, we're delighted to be in a position to offer all London 2021 attendees a Covid Guarantee on their tickets. Whilst things are looking positive for September, if in the event the festival can't go ahead, you will be offered the chance to roll your ticket over to our next festival (Hay or London 2022) at no extra cost, or claim a refund.

Is this happening in a physical location or online?

The festival will take place in Kenwood House, on Hampstead Heath, in London.

How do I get a ticket for the festival?

Tickets are on-sale now - get yours here.

I have a ticket for another HowTheLightGetsIn festival, can I use that for HowTheLightGetsIn London 2021?

You cannot use tickets for other HowTheLightGetsIn Festivals to access HowTheLightGetsIn London 2021. If you have a rolled-over ticket for HowTheLightGetsIn Hay 2022 that you would like to swap for a ticket to London 2021, drop us an email at enquiries@artandideas.org

Can I use my ticket to watch recordings of the events after the festival is over?

Festival tickets enable you to view events only while they are live, so plan your itinerary. However, tickets with trial subscriptions to IAI.tv are available. IAI.tv is the festival's sister platform which hosts recording of HowTheLightGetsIn festival debates.
