Julie Bindel is a radical feminist writer, journlist and author. She is the co-founder of the law-reform group Justice for Women, which since 1991 has helped women who have been sentenced for killing their violent, male partners. Bindel's work has focused on male violence against women and children, prostitution, stalking, religious extremism and human traffiking. Bindel has authored several books including The Pimping of Prosititution and Feminism for Women. Additionally, she has written for publications across the political spectrum from the Guardian to the Spectator.
More recently, Bindel has been criticised by some for her views on transgender individuals and gay marriage with some bookstores trying to cancel her books.
