Barry C. Smith is an English philosopher and Director of the Institute of Philosophy at the School of Advanced Study at the University of London. As well as being a visiting Professor both at Berkley and École Normale Supérieure, he was also the writer and presenter of BBC Radio Series, The Mysteries of the Brain.
Smith has authored and co-authored several books including the intriguingly titled Questions of Taste: The Philosophy of Wine, The Oxford Handbook of the Philosophy of Language and Knowing Our Own Minds. Additionally he has done several interviews for Philosophy Bites, a philosophical podcast.
